District administration Hunza in collaboration with various stakeholders including Ismaili Local Council for Gulmit/Sost, Waste Management Company Hunza, Mountain Area Support Organization Gulmit, Community Based Organizations Gojal and Lamberdaran Area has initiated a cleanliness drive to make Sub-Division Gojal a clean and an ideal area of the region and Pakistan as well.
Campaign/drive will be run on every Thursday according to the schedule issued by district administration Hunza that requested the stakeholders to ensure maximum participation of staff/youth/volunteers in the drive to make this campaign successful.
The Deputy Commissioner Hunza, Fayaz Ahmed and the Assistant Commissioner Gojal, Zulqarnain Khan have participated in the campaign and urged the tourists to keep the area clean and avoiding littering. Moreover, the focal person of Nestle Pakistan, Ali Ashar, has pleased to inform that the company has already installed Compressing and Bailing Machine in district Gilgit and the arrangements for installation of Compressing and Bailing Machine in district Hunza are also finalized and the site is ready for inauguration/ribbon-cutting.
