Online Booking Portal of Government Rest Houses of Gilgit-Baltistan

 

Tourism, Sports, Culture, Archaeology and Museum Department Gilgit-Baltistan in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has recently developed and launched an online booking platform, a website, link: https://booking.visitgilgitbaltistan.gov.pk, where potential guests/tourists can reserve accommodation without connecting with the proprietor directly, instead, they fill up a form and get an email as the confirmation of the booking so as to facilitate domestic and international tourists. This online booking platform provides the facilities for smooth reservation on first come first served basis. The website helps to streamline and standardize functions of government rest houses by defining all the relevant aspects to ensure proper utilization of these facilities. Presently, five government rest houses of Works Department GB, including PWD Rest Houses: Kachura, Hamid Garh, Rama Astore, Karimabad Hunza and Naltar Gilgit, have been selected and displayed on web portal for booking and the department may increase the number of government rest houses on web platform at various districts for booking in the near future.
