The primary focus of the event remained on promoting winter sports in Gilgit-Baltistan. The event provides an exclusive opportunity to the local skiers to learn skiing and rescue operations for avalanche and ski incidents from the five Italian international skiers, avalanche rescuers and super mountain guides at Naltar Ski Resort.
The main thrust of this event was to promote winter sports and adventure tourism in GB highlighting the contribution of people in developing a healthy society both mentally and physically. More than 25 skiers participated in the event bringing with them their skills and expertise.
Keeping in view the disaster probe nature
of GB, the whole activity primarily focused on Rescue Training during
avalanches and ski incidents. The event was scheduled from 10th
March 2021 to 15th March 2021 at Naltar Ski Resort.
