To cater to a growing demand for skiing in the
region, five young skiers from Skardu valley were sent to Malam Jabba Ski
School, which is located in the snowcapped Malam Jabba Ski Resort, for one
week, 22nd January 2021 to 26th January 2021. This primal has been done in
collaboration with Tourism, Sports & Culture Department Gilgit-Baltistan
and Malam Jabba Ski Resort Support. Another group of ten skiers has been
selected from Hopper valley and will send to the aforementioned institute in
the coming month. By providing professional ski training, the department of
Tourism, Sports & Culture GB prepare the young skiers for national and
international ski championships.
